Was wondering if the language this go around addressed 24.8 C (promotions)? Currently there is virtually no benefit for people to take promotions that come with large step increases over ones with less. Why is it more beneficial to get two promotions that increase your pay scale by two (16->18->20) than one promotion that increases it by four (16->20)? Someone here was a Step J and went all the way down to Step A just because they rose enough pay scales. They would be making virtually the same amount if they had taken half the pay scale increase.
