Even the military acknowledges the need for a more substantial pay raise....... nearing the 20% mark. I get this is "the best we've ever got" (and to the negotiation team I'm grateful for those efforts), but it's still not even close to closing the gap in responsibility and pay between my role and those I supervise, while the voluminous work and hefty responsibilities continue to grow. Try as I might, I just can't come to terms with the insulting wage offer from the state........definitely voting "No", and hoping we can negotiate something more reasonable expeditiously. (I fully acknowledge it'll probably get worse before it gets worse, but we have no one to blame but ourselves if we keep taking the hits with the promise of "something better in the future").
